Approach
Consultation
Before the project begins, Esther meets with the client (either virtually or in person) to view the space and to understand the client’s wishes.
Design
Following that consultation, Esther sketches a concept which she and the client collaboratively refine until arriving at a shared vision. After that, Esther begins painting. Clients should expect works to be ready anywhere from a few days (smaller projects) to a few weeks (larger projects).
Pricing
Murals
Project cost generally ranges between $50-$100 per square foot but can increase depending on the intricacy of the design, on the complexity of installation conditions, and on other factors. Project minimum is $3,000. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the project cost is due before the sketch is produced.
Commissions
Project cost generally ranges between $2-$4 per square inch but can increase depending on the intricacy of the design and on other factors. Project minimum is $500. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the project cost is due before the sketch is produced.

What mediums and materials do you use?
I primarily use oils and acrylics to paint. For murals, I prefer Farrow & Ball wall paint.
How can someone commission a painting or mural?

How long does it take for you to complete a project?
I respond to requests within 48 hours. Once I understand the scope of the project, I provide an estimated date of completion. Project durations vary from a few days to several weeks.
Is a deposit required to secure a commission or mural?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required.
Do you provide sketches or mockups before starting custom pieces?
Yes.
What types of surfaces can you paint on?
For murals, I typically paint on primed walls and wood floors. For ready-to-hang pieces, I typically paint on wood panels, heavy paper, cloth, and canvas. I always strive to accommodate the client’s wishes.
Can you travel for mural work?
Yes, with travel expenses covered by the client.
Is the artwork framed and ready to hang?
Canvas works are ready to hang. Prints are not framed nor ready to hang, unless requested.
Are prints of your work available?
Only by request.
Is sales tax included in the price?
Yes.
